Hey!! My name is Madelyn and I am so, so excited about the launch of my website! I figured I’d use my first blog post to further introduce myself and my journey towards becoming a photographer. I currently live in Northern Wisconsin and spend most of my days dreaming up new creative ideas, visiting local restaurants, playing with my dog, exploring trails, and attending classes at a local fitness studio. I grew up in the Madison, WI area (Go Badgers!) and made the move up to Duluth for college. I’ve been up here along the North Shore ever since.
I spent the past four years working as a wedding coordinator with a wonderful company in Duluth. Through that job, I fell in love with the wedding industry and all of the creativity and celebration it embodies. I love how every wedding has personal touches that are so unique to the couple’s love story. Being in a room full of people who love the couple so much and are all there to celebrate and support them is truly incredible to witness. I always leave weddings with so much gratitude and happiness in my heart.
Although I grew up taking thousands of pictures of my loved ones at family gatherings, I dove into professional photography January of 2022. I was lucky enough to land an internship with Janine Leigh Photo last Summer which drastically helped advance my business forward and to the next level.
My intention when building the MG Photo experience was to create an atmosphere where all couples are heard, served, and celebrated. I value deep connection with my couples and use my wedding planning background to guide them and answer any questions they have during the planning process.
Some of my 2023 goals for MG Photo include – hosting client events, going on a photography education retreat, booking weddings at new venues around the Midwest, and constantly elevating my client experience.
I feel so grateful to be where I am at in life and connect with the kindest, coolest people ever. After all, I get to capture literally the most important thing in the world – LOVE! Below are a few things that make me the happiest.
